I hate to sound like this but I just love this crap.and so….
Uh…oh really? Are they actually saying that exercise promotes good health?
Isn’t that odd?
And I wonder how much money was spent in finding this amazing revelation out.
Autism Linked to TelevisionStandby…rant coming…
Well, perhaps the ##@@!! television should be thrown out the @@##!! window and parents should start acting like parents and perhaps spend some time with their kids instead of trying to get them “out of their hair”. Oh…but wait now…you can’t! Society these days won’t let you take proper care of your little ones anymore. God forbid(!) you should ever discipline them else they should be scarred for life. Oh horrors! What kind of idyllic life would I be leading right now if my parents had never instilled in my young, thick skull, a damn good sense of right and wrong. I most certainly would be “less scarred I’m sure (yeah right!). Thank god and little green apples idiotic ideas like” time out” didn’t exist back then.Good parenting: Never accepted now-a-days. It’s a “time -out” style world now (absolutely useless), so go right ahead…plunk them down in front of the electronic babysitter and let their brains turn to mush.
As “The Cable Guy” said just before he fell off the tower onto the huge satellite receiver dish; “Someone’s gotta kill the babysitter (TV)”.
Heavy on sarcasm here and no offense to all the righteous parents out there bucking the system and trying to be good parents in a society that basically is configured not to allow you to do so. Hit a nerve that’s all.
Rant over.
Iran steps up enrichment work
“Iran denies it has a nuclear weapons programme, maintaining that the project is aimed solely at producing electricity.”
Uh, huh. I believe them. Just about as much as I believe…
N. Korea stating it will not pursue any more nuclear weapons testing…(This is not the article I wanted but it will just have to do).…no more than I believe the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister’s say so.Now maybe this sounds kinda’ harsh but I was deeply involved in the Cold War like everyone else wasn’t. My time in the Cold War US Naval Submarine force is as fresh as it was when I left 18 years ago and while I have absolutely nothing against the Russian people (not even back then), the government on the other was/is a whole other story. With all due respect to Vladimir Putin (and he deserves it)…governments simply do not change that fast especially a government that was as hard core and corrupt as the old Soviet Union’s. These guys haven’t just disappeared you know.
Bottom line here: There are two main, readily available sources of nuclear technology, info and devices in this world and that’s Russia and us and we ain’t helping them.
Perhaps this may seem to be a somewhat narrow minded outlook but when you’ve been involved in this kind of stuff in such an “up close and personal” manner, well…maybe it isn’t so narrow minded after all.
Ah well…we shall see won’t we.
