An Inexcusable Mistake

Army regrets urging dead and wounded officers to return to service

WASHINGTON The Army says a computer mix-up is what caused recruitment letters to mistakenly be sent out over the holidays to the families of 275 officers killed or wounded in action in Iraq.

A computer error they say. Sounds more like a computer operator error to me. That or the one who changed the databases in the first place. So how long has this been going on and if it's the first time…who screwed? Who got into the servers? A computer doesn't make arbitrary decisions on it's own ya' know.

I read about that earlier. Shocking if you ask me.

I can’t imagine how the families must have felt.

Neither can I, but as a vet myself I can only imagine and I do my best not to.
