This is January?
Jan 6th, 2007 by Kirk M
It reached 55 degrees today, switching between sunny, rainy, windy, two of each or all three together and it switched back and forth on a moment's notice.
I was out running errands around 12:30 this afternoon and there was still a mist on the lake and parts of the bluff in the distance appeared to have patches of pure white cotton floating amongst the tree lined shore. This was the same lake that my wife and I walked upon three years ago, all the way to the peninsula over 1/4 mile away on January ice that was nearly 18 inches thick in most places.
The weather forecast for Stove Pipe City is calling for another rain/snow/sleet type storm starting Sunday night and continuing through Monday. Ah, the bones will be telling us exactly how we feel about things (ow! in another words) I'm sure of it. Meanwhile it's still the weekend tomorrow and temps should be about 20 or so degrees cooler than today was and that's just fine by me. This raw, wet weather is getting mighty old and I have a feeling that there is going to be a bit more of it before the winter's done.
And now I can hear the bed calling "Yo! Get your rear end in here!" So off I go to heed the call of slumber.
