Comments not showing up immediately?

If anyone finds their comment not showing up right away it’s just Spam Karma 2 doing it’s job. SK2 is one powerful spam blocker with many options and I might have to do some tweaking here and there. As it stands now it looks like anyone who leaves a comment on a post that Spam Karma hasn’t encountered before (not the post…the person leaving the comment, wise guy), it will throw said comment into moderation. Once I approve the comment, then the reader’s “Karma” goes up a notch or to and the next comment should appear right away.  Haven’t had anytime to tweak and adjust to my liking yet but it most definitely keeps the spammers at bay.

And if anyone wonders why I haven’t been writing any posts with any real meaning of late it’s simply because I’ve been dealing with a $$##@@!! (’scuse the foreign language please) health issue of late and it’s getting to be a real pain in the rear (well, the chest actually—not heart related thankfully) and it’s making my head a bit sluggish as far as any creative thinking is concerned.

Meanwhile…it’s cold! Where’s Spring? C’monnnn Spring!

Hope you feel better soon Kirk. Yeah I’m getting pretty sick of this frigid temperatures. Guess it could be worse though…like 100 inches of snow! (western NY).

    Spring? 41 days but who’s counting ;-)

    Hi Elaine,

When I was but a single digit midget (ok–a kid) my family lived about 20 miles off the eastern shore of lake Ontario and had Lake Erie right above us in upstate NY and even now I can remember the Lake effect snows we had. I used to marvel at the slides and photos that my grandparents would show us of winter storms where all you could see was the top of my grandfather’s hat above the snow banks on either side of the sidewalk in front of his house (my grandparents lived in Syracuse, NY).

Nothing but cold here and a few typical furious flurries that we have here in Newport. No big storms yet.

As far as my malady, I’m headed down to the VA yet again for tests (this is service related–my somersaulting esophagus). Thanks for your kind thoughts. They always help. :-)
