One of the great things about having a personal type blog where you don’t really care about staying on one topic and one topic only or monetizing the darn thing (like my vacant “Sponsors Soon” section in my sidebar), is that you have the ability to play around with a new gadget or two or three. Todays new gadgets are the new Advanced Search Lite box in the sidebar which allows one to do a complete boolean type search using wild cards and such and sorting by date or relevance—that type of thing. The second being a pollen count checker thingy from Pollen.com that I just had to try out since a blogging friend of mine couldn’t seem to get it running correctly (s’okay—she’s brand new at this host-your-own Wordpress blog thing yet and I’m taking this opportunity to rib her a bit).
The Pollen count gadget is kind of a joke at this point really considering the Northeast Kingdom is looking forward to another snow storm determined to dump up to another 20 inches on us, but I couldn’t help myself. I have a warped sense of humor anyway.
Now I have to get this posted real quick here so I can make sure certain people see this. Then they can give me you-know-what for being a smart-a**.
So much fun.
