Oh, that Community thing…

I am not what you might refer to as a “social animal”, in fact…a more accurate description would probably be, “almost a recluse but not quite”. Yessireebob, so what did I go and do? I went out and got myself a blog and then I loaded it full of SEO goodies just to let everyone know I was around for Pete’s sake and then after gathering up my courage and much gnashing of teeth, I joined the MyBlogLog community just for spite. I swear I’m going to drag myself kicking and screaming into the social scene even if it kills me or at least makes me limp a lot.
I’m still trying to learn the in’s and out’s of this community but what I’ve seen so far I’ve liked, that plus the fact that they try their utmost best to keep things clean and above board. I even (surprisingly) ran into a lot of people whose blogs I read on a regular basis and even a few friends as well. What do you know about that?
I’ve even gone so far as to stick the MyBlogLog community widget into my sidebar that shows off the readers from MyBlogLog that have paid me the courtesy of a visit or two. I guess I can’t complain about that. I just hope they’re all patient enough to put up with my fumbling around trying to find my way around town so to speak.
Hopefully MyBlogLog will be able to be stick around for awhile so I can learn the how to handle this idea of being a member of a “community”. So thanks to all those who have befriended me there and that have stopped by to say hello or at least get their picture in the sidebar.

A belated thanks for the well wishes. MyBlogLog is worth a look-see. I still haven’t figured out all the bells, whistles and proper etiquette type stuff for it yet but I’m sure I’ll have it down pat by next Christmas
