Keeping shop is not as much work for me than it is for my wife but I don't mind the customer service part of it. It's being Walmarted that ticks me off. Life is a constant learning experience isn't it? Patience seems to be main topic it tries to teach. :)

You can see the shop (and the chair) I was watching over (and sitting in) at http://www.longmeadowfarms.com if you're interested in quilts and what Laurie (my wonderful lady) spends her time doing.

Live Comment Preview:
Sometimes you have to insert the code into the single.php file of your theme yourself so what I can do is load up the Traveler theme into my Wordpress "Sandbox" and get the Live Comment Preview to work and send you specific instructions as to how to get it working yourself. It's easy to do once you get the hang of it. I'll work on this tomorrow night.

I'm almost jealous that you got to spend your weekend in a quilt shop. I know it's hard work, but the kind of work I like.
I like the comment preview too, but haven't been able to get Live Preview to work. I know so little about inner workings that I will have to put that project aside. I have a lot to learn.

Hey Scott!

Welcome to my end of things...

I tried several preview type plugins and like none of them until I came across the Live Comment Preview plugin. Works like a charm, no mucking about with code in the theme, no reloading the page and it converts all the html code such as italics, bold etc without complaint.

One thing I do recommend is to keep the default placement below the the comment form. I first manually placed the preview above the form which caused the form to jerk downward every time the preview went down one line while the commenter was typing. Very annoying.

Yup -- you hit the proverbial nail on the head. I used to own a CD store (plus t-shirts, hats, pins and other music paraphernalia), and that kind of stuff is exactly why I will never, ever, ever own a retail store again.

I'm glad we have people who will subject themselves to that so that the rest of us can shop, but count me out for being on the receiving end!

BTW, I love the awesome Ajax-based (I presume) plug-in that does a real-time preview as you're typing your comment. Gonna track that one down.
