Just when you thought it was safe to post…

…something always comes up. But that’s okay since it was helping another blogger with a database error. It’s not fixed yet but we’re still trying. Most of the problem is with the host itself but we won’t go there. :)

There’s more good news on the horizon for new WordPress do-it-yourselfer’s and especially for those that have been considering doing it yourself with a WordPress install but have been holding off due to the complexities of working the backend of things such as upgrading to new WP versions as they come out and uploading plugins and themes via FTP, blah, blah, blah, etc, etc.

Well, it looks like things just became a whole lot easier for you folks due to a couple of new plugins that have recently hit the streets. One that takes care of Automatically upgrading your WordPress install which I’ve already posted about and tomorrow, after the new  version is released that takes care of a compatibility issue with the aforementioned plugin, I’ll be posting about another new plugin that automatically uploads and installs plugins and themes for you as well.

With these two plugins installed, working “behind the scenes” of your WordPress install just became a lot less complicated.

Se you folks tomorrow. :D

Can’t wait for the one that automatically installs plugins! Will wait till all the bugs are worked out though cause I hate deleting and going through the process of installing again. Let us know when it’s safe! You know Larry the cable guy? Think you should be the honorary, Kirk the WordPress guy.

    Hi Elaine,

The WordPress guy? Oh, there are lots of WordPress folks out there that do the same thing and a lot of those are more knowledgeable than I am. What I try to do is post about what works for me and what kind of things I have discovered as time has gone on. All in hopes that it might work for some other folks with WordPress type blogs. It’s all about community, right?

    Thanks indeed, though. :D
