Well, guess I won’t have to start fresh after all. Although comments posting and the page not refreshing is still happening on and off and neither my host nor myself can find a reason for it. So after dealing with this for most of the day I figure it’s enough.
Let the site ride, I say. It began happening for no apparent reason and I suppose it will go away for no apparent reason as well. Either way, I’m glad I don’t have to start anew. I just hate spending all that time and not learning anything.
So if you post your comment and the page does not refresh don’t worry. It got there. Hopefully this BS will clear up shortly.

That does happen sometimes.
If you use akismet or something of the like that could be the issue. It’s somewhat common for akismet to be slow and slow down your commenting.

I suspected that and Spam Karma 2.3 but I had to keep reminding myself that everything was working fine 3 days ago. It also happens on a series blog I’m currently writing (that is a non-domain name sub-blog) that’s exhibiting the same problem.
I’ve been round and round with my host most of the day and it all boils down to the host having a few problems. Install, plugins and database appear to be fine on this end.
