There comes a time when all good bloggers must take an evening off. Especially when said blogger has a pounding headache that’s attempting to push his eyeballs out of his head. One of the problems with being rather significantly less than 100% is occasionally (occasionally?) using up all my stamina at work with nothing left over for the evening as is the current situation.
My wonderful wife is constantly telling me not to push it too hard and like the typical thick headed male I nod my head (and I do mean it) and then commence to work my little butt off at work. Then I end up with silly posts like this:
Please excuse Kirk from blogging this evening because like the thick headed male that he is, he didn’t listen to his wonderful wife and pushed too hard at work. Now he don’t feel good…etc.
We’re watching old movies this week. Tonight’s feature presentation is Sneakers.
Be back at it tomorrow. That is if I don’t work too hard.
All men aren’t thick headed. Only the good ones. My wife finally got me to go to the doctor’s a few years ago when I ended up crawling up the steps to our second floor. I listen to my wife since then about such things (usually).
Sneakers! I love it. It’s part of my “hacker” collection along with, of course, Hackers, and The Net. As soon as it comes out on DVD, Live Free or Die Hard will join them.
Hi Rick,
Crawling up the stairs huh? I relate! Being one of those disabled vets that just happens to still be able to walk, talk and chew bubble gum (but not at the same time), I tend to drive my wife to distraction sometimes.
Perhaps we should listen the first time…or the second…or the third for sure…
We have Hackers and The Net also. We’re waiting on the Bourne Ultimatum. Not particularly related but definitely wanted nonetheless.
Ha ha! I guess you have to listen to your wonderful wife! Hope to see you back soon.
I REALLY hope you keep your eyeballs in your head!
Hi Shantanu,
That would be a wise thing indeed. Now if I can only get myself to listen to me listening.
I’ve been reading of your travels with your family and those Alpine photos were excellent! Hope you continue your enjoy the rest of your vacation and arrive home safely.
Hi Micki!,
Yes…that would be for the best otherwise I might scare off the customers at work (never mind the fact I would have the dickens of a time seeing anything).
