Good Morning all

Just wanted to let everyone who might stop in that I’ll be off minding my wife’s quilt shop while she’s off doing a show this weekend so I’ll be having to post in the evening for the next two days. I also have a few things to add to the sidebar later on (see previous post).

Hope you all have a fine day.

  1. Hi Janet,

She does do beautiful work at that. In case you’re wondering, she doesn’t do any selling from her site but all the finished products on her site are linked to two craft sites that do the selling for her.

Anytime you want to drop by just let us know and I’ll introduce you to my crab and cream cheese scrambled egg mess (good though). Laurie’s also and accomplished chef as well as a quilter (Am I lucky or what?).

By the way, I finally had the time to put you in the sidebar as I said I was going to do. Never enough time ya’ know. :)

  2. Hi Going Like Sixty,

I’ve tried to no end. She won’t have any of it. She’s a tried and true dyed in the wool traditional type webmaster and I can’t talk her out of it. I even tried explaining that WordPress can be used a a CMS system rather than a blog–no go. Geez…I’m not even that stubborn (yeah, right!). We’re a match made in heaven.

I don’t quilt. I have all the artistic talent of a rock and no head for the type of math needed for quilting. I did build the various racks, displays and counter. I’m a fair “square cut” carpenter or at least I’ve learned to be. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?

  3. One must always remain flexible, even when it hurts. :)

I have to agree with you on WP being easier. I could never quite wrap my head around working my own code from scratch. I’m a cut/copy/paste king and can even troubleshoot the code of a plugin and find the problem most times but write my own?

My lack of typing skills alone is the least of my problems.

Maybe I’ll just hang a sub-blog off of my site’s directory and use it for building something appropriate and I’ll just present it to her when it’s finished. Never can tell.
