Okay then…
I’ve had loads of fun so far today upgrading the blog to WordPress 2.3 beta 3 and will be going to RC1 as soon as it’s released since everything seems to be working correctly.
I’ve imported all my Simple Tagging (STP) tags into the new WP 2.3 tagging setup using the built in importer and loaded up a brand new Related Posts plugin for WP 2.3 (thanks to Darren for letting me know) to put my related posts feature back into my single post pages. WP 2.3 remembered each and every tag I assigned to a post (nice) so it was a simple matter of activating the plugin and inserting the correct code in the correct place in place of the previous STP code.
I also redid my Tag page using the WP 2.3 PHP call instead of STP’s and viola(!), everything seems to running normally again. Thanks to Rich taking the time to post a “how to” on his blog on how to do this and the needed bits of code to do it with. Gotta’ love this WordPress community now don’t ya’? he also shows how to easily add tags to the bottom of each post. Unfortunately, the current version of Simple Tagging does not work with WP 2.3 so no more tagging interface for now.
Hopefully later on, I’ll be beta testing some new plugins being currently being designed by the incomparable Christina Davis of Ultimate Tag Warrior fame that will add some tag management into the admin side of WP 2.3 that deleting STP took away. That is if she lets me. 
Now I’m way behind in my chores that I was supposed to get done today so I’ll publish this post as is and after I blast through those chores I’ll come back and add all the things to the backend of this post like a good boy.

Don’t see anything going wrong though on the blog, so guess your upgrade went well :).
With each Monday a new release coming though, you picked a wrong day to upgrade since tomorrow a new release would be supposed to come I think, hehe.

Not yet. I really need to get my tags in order seeing as I have too many that have too little content attached. Also need to sort out my categories. After two years I’m starting to see where this endeavor of mine is headed and I need to clean house so to speak.
I actually decided to upgrade to beta 3 early just in case I had to replace all my tags assigned by STP to each post with 2.3 tags for the “related Posts” feature I use. Fortunately 2.3 did that for me and that new plugin provided a handy interface which 2.3 doesn’t have.
