Lunch With an Upgrade on the Side

My good friend over at took the plunge several months ago and decided to "do-it-herself" and tackle her own WordPress install and I have to say she has done it in style. Especially since she absolutely despises doing upgrades and she deserves even more credit because of it. And now it’s time to tackle a another major WP upgrade.

Her blog is a personal one with a strong leaning towards health issues and a Chihuahua which makes perfect sense since she’s a cardiac nurse who recently got herself one of these little pint size guys. And she has put her blog into my "knowledgeable" hands in order to do the upgrade to WP 2.3 and update her plugins to the latest version while I’m at it (compatibility stuff). Considering she’s done all the other upgrades herself I figure she deserves a break.

Please do not let this decision of hers to let me fiddle with the guts of her blog reflect in any way upon her intelligence and common sense. I do assure you that she has a good helping of both. I’m sure we all have our weak moments now don’t we? :D

Oh, and lunch? A peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a cup o’ soup to bolster me up for the task at hand.

We now return you to our regularly scheduled program.

Talk about trust huh? Hey if anyone knows the guts of a wordpress blog it’s definitely you Kirk! Hope you don’t find any unexpected surprises …. like messed up plugins or something. And thanks so much for doing this for me, greatly appreciated!

Worked out just fine, Elaine. Your site isn’t stuffed full of over bloated plugins, hacks and scripts like some others I could mention (uh…like mine?). :P
