In response to comment left by my good friend Cat on my last post, I had given the example that I spent about 75% of the time dinkin’ around the back end of my WP install and 25% actually writing up posts. It was at that point that I noticed that I wasn’t far from the truth. That’s exactly what I do although I’d say the split was realistically more 65/35. So does that mean I’m less of a blogger because of this?
You got me.
Of course I realize that a portion of my lack of posts these past several weeks is due a combination of ill health and no longer making a paycheck ergo…dwindling inspiration and no money (but no complaints). Be that as it may, what I said above still holds true. I spend more time greasing the gears and tuning the engine than I do driving the blog.
Hey…I like that. Feel free to quote me.
So am I less of a blogger for being a tech head? Only my hairdresser knows for sure.

I’d say of all my time dedicated to blogging I spend:
20%: Blogging on my blog
20%: Doing blog related stuff
40%: Reading and commenting on other blogs
20%: On the wordpress forums
Hmmm, I guess I need to shift it to do some more blogging, but at the end of the day I don’t spend the entire day blogging…

Doesn’t sound like your doing that bad at all. We should both probably up the blogging on blog part of it to around 30-35% though.
