7-odd things about me. Is this a meme or what?

Yup! I’ve been meme’d again by Grandad. I have no idea why I let him get away with this because he should know by now that I don’t have 7 bloggers that would consider me anything more than a nuisance. Anyway, I’ve seen this one before and have successfully avoided it up till now but I guess I’ll finally have to give in and do it especially since it’s Grandad. I don’t wish to think of the consequences if I fail to comply.

Now Here are the rules of the Meme:
Post on your blog . . .
+ and post the rules on your blog.
+ Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself.
+ Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
+ Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
That’s all there’s to it . . .
Oh and have fun.

Okay, here it goes. Seven random things about me that you’re probably better off not knowing:

  1. I spent 5 years under the surface of the ocean trying not to kill millions of people.
  2. Spent another 6 years after that teaching others how to try and not kill millions of people.
  3. I spent a day walking around on the North Pole.
  4. I’ve been handcuffed to a briefcase before.
  5. I once went to jail for taking my first wife to a birthday party. We didn’t do anything wrong…we just went to a damn birthday party.
  6. I rode Harley Davidson’s for nearly 18 years and only scrapped the skin off various parts of my body twice.
  7. I’ve been from Maine to Florida and every state in between, England, Scotland, Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Nova Scotia, Mexico, 3 different Caribbean islands, Bermuda, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and the North Pole but I’ve never been west of the Mississippi.

Okay, I’m going to nab and Sixty right off the bat. Any others are going to have to wait until I update this post tomorrow. That is if I can actually find 5 more blogger’s that will admit they know me. Stay tuned.

Update: Okay, I looked through all my links for tagging possibilities and what I found was this:

4 have already been tagged and 3 are gone for the holidays or wishing they were. So the two above is all I’m able to tag. But then again I wasn’t much for following rules anyway. :P

  1. Gah!! I’ve been double-memed! Jack McMad also thinks I need meme distraction. I’ve to go and do some serious rooting for oddness – I bet there’s some down the side of the fridge…

See you after the craziest weekend of the year!

  2. Hi K8,

I await your oddness with baited breath (ugh). By the way, congratulations on passing your test. From one veteran (ex) taxi driver to another, I wish you fair sailing or driving for that matter. Keep the rubber side down and the air freshener handy at all times.

Oh yeah, a baseball bat (shillelagh?) always comes in handy for the drunks and the generally obnoxious. And pepper spray, don’t forget the pepper spray. :P

  3. No…wait! Give me another chance! I’ll do it over…Badly!! I made a mistake the first time! I actually write really lousy…really…I do! Give me another chance…

Aw hell! Caught out at last. Now I’m gonna be meme-orized.

  4. Only if you do it first and if it involves 4 long pieces of sturdy rope, 4 horses and a guy with a whip, you can just forget about it.

Is this the one K8 refused to do? I didn’t see it on your blog so I’m just wondering. Don’t you have a book to write? :D

Okay, okay…bring it on but do me the favor of waiting a day so’s I can dig out from under this snow storm we’re having. Just got finished snow blowing the driveway from the first half.

  5. Only if you do it first and if it involves 4 long pieces of sturdy rope, 4 horses and a guy with a whip, you can just forget about it.

I’m sure there are people who are wondering what the hell that’s about!!

And yes – that’s the one. Book’s coming on very well thank you.

  6. “I’m sure there are people who are wondering what the hell that’s about!!”

Well, I guess they’re just going to have to read your blog to find out now won’t they? :P

Glad your book’s coming along well. Something I’ve always wanted to do myself but I just can’t seem to get my act together on it. Maybe someday but until then I’ll just have to wait until yours is done and buy a copy.
