Christmas Lights at Our Place

Xmas Lites Well, in case you were ever wondering what our place looks like at night during the Christmas season, here’s a fairly bad picture I just took. I was too busy dodging cars (I was standing in the middle of the road at the time) to set  up a good shot but then again my trusty old Kodak point and shoot digital camera isn’t the best for night shots either. It’s much better on landscapes.

Take my word for it, it looks really nice in person.

Thanks Sixty! We like it. I’m even more glad that I didn’t get run over taking the picture.

Love the room (alcove) on the second floor. You’ve done well decorating .

    Hi Cat, Hi Janeywan…

Laurie did the decorating (she loves doing it), I hold whatever she needs.

The alcove and the many windowed front of the bottom floor used to be open porches at one time as I understand it. Later they were fully enclosed. The house itself belonged to one family from the beginning and the upstairs was separated into an upstairs apartment for the son and his wife about half way through it’s life (Laurie’s youngest son and his family live up there now). The entire interior of the house, doors, windows, cabinets etc was all handmade by the Father of the original family complete with two different size, tilt out, type flour bins. Even the original workshop in the basement is still one piece.

    We love the place.
