Tis 19 days before Christmas, the 66th anniversary of “A date that will live in infamy” and the day before the beginning of the last two shows that my honey will be doing in regards to her quilting business before the year ends. Laurie is currently out and about braving the cold weather and the icy roads in order to set up for the first of the two shows that will be taking place this weekend. Tomorrow she’ll be headed in the opposite direction to setup for the second show and by Sunday evening it will all be over until March of next year when the new “show” season begins.
This of course means I’m going to be watching the shop for her while she’s away showing off as it were so if anyone wonders why I’m not answering comments or emails in my usual fashion it’s simply due to the fact that there is no “hotspot” where the quilt shop is located. Even if there was, our laptop’s wireless capability went the way of the buffalo after the cats pulled the plug from the wall one night while it was on standby. Battery went dead and so did any form of wireless connection since then. Go figure.
In the meantime, it’s time to go spelunking for something to eat as I’m under strict instructions that I’m not to miss supper on pain of death. Also my screwed up gut would sharply remind me of any missed victuals at inappropriate times in the very early morn thus waking my extremely tired and overworked lady at which point I would be severely reprimanded or shot several times with her squirt gun (for the cats usually) depending on how awake and annoyed she was.
Now it’s to the kitchen in hopes for something I can call a meal.
