Oh really? Bah, I say! Don’t believe ‘em…not for one minute. If you’re across the border, you’re in Vermont, period. If you stay across the border for 5 years, you’re in for good.

Doesn’t matter if “creeping civilization” has invaded southern Vermont. It’s there because we allowed there in the first place. If you have natives saying this to you it’s just to see if it gets your goat or not. If it’s “out-a-staters” that don’t live in Vermont saying this, then poke ‘em one in the snoot. What do they know?

Just remember, if you stay long enough you’ll begin to feel this strange desire to move farther north–to get away from “creeping civilization”.

The new home is way south in Windham, which as many people say is hardly Vermont anymore. I don’t care what they say. I’m paying the taxes, I’m in VT.

Okay…we’re not all that bad actually but you can’t be too careful of who you tell that to ya’ know. Down country folks might get the wrong impression if it got around.

Oh, remember my mention of moving up there? Well, it’s happening in a few weeks. I’ve still got your advice in my mind, although so far I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the kindness of my new neighbors.

Anyway, thanks for letting me know about how the place looks in Safari. I used to have Safari for Windows loaded to check this (don’t know if it renders the same as the Mac version) and Opera as well but I’ve since reloaded my OS and haven’t bothered with reinstalling. Suppose I ought to huh?

By the way, I checked out that new Flash version of your site that you’re working on and let me tell you what…When that television flipped into my face like that I must have backed up the chair a good foot or more. Quite an effect you got there.
