The Media’s Desperate-Judging a Candidate by Their Sexual Prowess

The media is obviously getting so desperate to bring some sex based political scandal into this year’s election free-for-all that they’ll even try accusing a 71 year old man of having an affair with some young blonde lobbyist back when he was 63…
John McCain, ex-Vietnam veteran and all-American hero, was forced to deny an affair with a young blonde lobbyist yesterday as a sex and ethics storm engulfed the race for the White House.
Sorry, it just doesn’t hold water. So what if he did? Who cares? Show’s that he had some life left in him but this does bring up what I feel is a very important question:
What about now?
Could he handle the same kind of alleged affair at this time of life? Does he still have the physically prowess for a weekend’s romp and hustle around the old bedstead? These are important questions indeed because if he’s come to the point where he is not capable of even one night’s worth of heavy breathing, the kind of oomph to accomplish what basically amounts to a rather simple and natural function, how the heck is he going to be able to handle the very real affairs, responsibilities and pressures that come with being this country’s President and Commander in Chief of our armed forces? If our boy (or girl for that mater) in the White House isn’t capable of a good healthy extramarital affair, real or imagined, then I’m sorry…I’m votin’ for the other guy…or….gal as the case may be.
Just a pragmatic viewpoint here.

It’s the New York Times, we can expect stories like that from them. It seems to have actually helped his campaign according to the news. I don’t think he has a snowball’s chance in hell of winning the election though. As one of my friends Mother, a die hard Republican said:
“If John McCain is the best the Republicans can come up with…then they deserve to lose.”

I think I like how your friend’s mother thinks.
I actually read it in another online news tabloid found through Google News and I’m sure Google’s little “Read all 37,468,352.5 articles…” link was at the bottom of the news excerpt for sure.
Obama’s dangerous and Hillary’s okay but she’s a lousy speaker. Where’s Pat Paulson when we really need him?
