I know it’s a bit late but we did our annual egg standing bit or should I say that my honey did actually since I was headed down to the VA at the time. So for those that still don’t know about this, the Vernal Equinox is the only time during the year where you can easily stand a raw egg on it’s end. If you’re really good you can stand it on it’s narrow end.
So without further ado, here’s a pic of this year’s vernal egginox.
And have a Happy Easter as well everyone.

I can’t figure out whether I should believe you or not…

Hi K8,
It’s true enough. We stand them (yes, raw eggs) during every vernal equinox. It has to do with the sun being situated directly across the equator vs this, that and the that other thing I don’t know about. All I know is when my lady told me about it for the first time, my response was very much like yours. Either way, it works. I’ve done plenty myself over the past 4 years. Laurie can stand a whole dozen if there’s time.
Try it next time. Proof is and all that.

Okay! I’ll stick it onto next year’s calendar.
If I can’t balance any eggs then I’m coming to get you!

You come right ahead darlin’. My wife and I will stand a couple eggs for you.
