Obama won on the Democratic side of things in my beloved state of Vermont. Well, so much for Vermont’s renowned "common sense". Barrack Obama is all talk, he puts on a great "dog and pony" show but obviously we can’t see through that type of thing any longer and these are a people I once believed could see through any type of bull***t without breaking a sweat. Apparently that ability does not exist any longer.
And please don’t tell me it’s because Obama "promises" to end the war in Iraq once he gets into office. And just how is he supposed to do that I might ask? I never agreed with invading Iraq but just pulling out now would be the worst mistake we could possibly make. Pull out yes, but a carefully controlled pull out so we just don’t leave the general population of Iraq hanging out for anyone to shoot at (maim, blow up, torture, etc)–and they will, believe me. Invading Iraq in the first place may have been wrong but just "pulling out" would be even worse.
Are there other ways perhaps? Like turning the whole place into a glass parking lot comes to mind but certain other countries might find that too much on the aggressive side never mind what it might do to the price of oil. Supplying nuclear strategic arms to certain dissatisfied organizations in and around Iraq is also a possibility but could we guarantee that these would be intelligently? Sorry…You gonna end the war, Obama? So how are you going to do that exactly? Please feel free to be specific.
Yeah, I know…John McCain won on the Republican end (same article). So as far as the Green Mountain State is concerned it’s either the World’s Greatest "Bull***t Artist" or another "Here’s the New Boss, Same as the Old Boss" routine. Just great, makes me so happy I don’t know what to use to bang my forehead on next.
However, there is still hope it seems as two towns in Vermont at least have voted to arrest Bush and Cheney on sight for crimes against the Constitution.
So how do I see things you might ask? Well I’ll tell you–like this:
Buoyed by primary victories in three states last night, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) presented herself today as the Democrat most likely to defeat the Republican nominee for president in November and raised the prospect of joining forces with Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) — as her vice presidential running mate.

Yup! Let’s get Hillary in the oval office with Obama as vice president. Hell, if you want to shake things up, do it all the way is what how I look at it. Forget McCain, we don’t need any more "Same-old, Same-old" in the driver’s seat. We need Obama in the second seat with all of his "new and bold" ideas, rhetoric, fund raising ability and such. And Hillary in the "Captain’s Chair" to apply the "brakes of common sense" when Obama goes off full bore and blind sided along with fair dose of "woman’s" intuition thereby wrapping up the types of national and global affecting decisions with something that resembles a sense of control in the decision making process.
Disagreements and opinions are always welcome of course.
