Dead Internet

For those of you waiting for a reply to a comment or perhaps another one of my fine posts, I’m sorry…you’ll just have to wait some more. The reason for this is that for the last 2 days my computer refuses to hook up to any wireless connection put out by our DSL wireless router (the new one) but this time I’m the only one with the problem apparently. This morning I managed to talk my Windows XP into actually hooking up but I found that there was a mysterious 4th wireless signal bouncing around that doesn’t belong to our router. So where is that coming from I wonder?

Either way, the connection is now racing along about as fast as a slow dial up and I just can’t wait 3 hours for my Admin to load. When things return to normal or a solution magically appears (nothing is apparently wrong with the computer, USB adapter or the router) then I’ll be back. Until then…have a great weekend.

Update: 04/18/08

Okay then…it appears that my wireless/dead slow DSL problems have magically cleared up. This is very irritating to say the least as I would have much rather experienced an "oh, so this is what’s wrong" sort of thing but I’ll simply have to put up with a "oh…so it’s just working all of a sudden is that it?" type of experience instead.

Alrighty then…
