It’s Memorial Day Weekend here in Vermont and that means it’s also the weekend of the annual Vermont Open Studio Weekend where artisans and crafters have the opportunity to show off their various genuine “Made in Vermont” arts and crafts to the tourists and put on demonstrations. Tourists and locals alike with map in hand of the locations of the studios and shops that are participating, roll around the countryside and through the villages and towns throughout the State visiting each shop or studio in turn to have a look-see at how these arts and crafts folks ply their trade and to check out their finished products. And my honey is no exception in this case since her Long Meadow Quilt Shop has been part of that very tour for the last 2 years. But this weekend marks the last time these seekers of Vermont made arts and crafts will stop at this particular shop since by next weekend we’ll have moved business to a new and better location right down the road a piece, this time with plenty of parking and a better layout as far as space is concerned. So I’m off today and tomorrow to the old quilt shop to man the counter while she’s busy doing demonstrations on her big quilting table and on the making of her stained glass items. And after we close on Sunday afternoon it’s time to get to moving so that by Wednesday we’ll have shifted business at the new location and by morning of June 1st we’ll officially open at the new place. Pictures coming.

You have a very nice blog. I like blogs and websites that don’t overwhelm you with stuff. Yours is very nice and clean.

@A Geo-targeted SEO:
Why thank you, glad you noticed and said as much which is one of 5 reasons I’m letting your comment stand. Here are reasons 2-5:
2. You sent me an email via my “Contact” page about adding my site on to a new list of “Do-Follow” blogs your working up, a concept that should never be ignored (even though you don’t follow the same practice apparently).
3. You linked your comment to your company’s blog instead of the main page in which case the comment would immediately have been marked as spam.
4. I enjoyed your post titled A 12 Step Program For Link Buyers - Sellers Anonymous.
5. And I really have to admire the fact that “Tucson SEO Solutions” evolved out of a house cleaning service. It appeals to my sense of humor. If you’re actually real, I wish you luck in your endeavors. If not, the post I mentioned above was still good.

Your blog article reminded me of folk artist Grandma Moses, who besides painting also did Embroidery. I’ve always imagined her works to be featured at the local little craft shoppe that you mention…
Now that I’m here, let me invite you…. We’re having an art carnival every few weeks and you’re invited to submit a good article on fine art.

@Astrid Lee:
Normally I would be willing but in this case my wife is the one who has all the talent (when it comes to all things art, I’m an absolute no-talent) and unfortunately all our time for the next few weeks is finishing up the move of her quilting business to the new location and getting all things that usually need straightening out in these cases, straightened out.
Many thanks for the offer though. Perhaps at a later date?
