It’s 2009? I Don’t Feel any Different.

So it’s a brand new year it seems and here I feel the same way I always did. Guess I’ll have to wait until next year and see how I feel then (2010 sounds much better than 2009 so I’m bound to feel different then).

Either way it means that it’s time for those New Year disillusions resolutions that everyone is supposed to make. That list of things about your life that you absolutely swear to high heaven that you’re going to accomplish/change/stop/start before the new year becomes last year and of course, I’m no exception.

So without further adieu and in no particular order (and with as little thought possible), my resolutions for 2009 (For this site I mean since my personal future is uncertain at this point).

  • Do not publish another post on this blog of mine until after New Year’s day. (I seem to have accomplished this already so I’m ahead of the game)
  • Not to kill the cat that’s currently eating one of my wife’s plants. (She’s still breathing so there’s another one down)
  • Change the theme back to what I started out with in the very beginning and stop bouncing from theme to another. (Okay, so I thought this one up last night while I was fighting to stay awake. Couldn’t seem to shake the thought so here it is. A third one accomplished—I’m on a roll now)
  • Be a bit more social about things. (Alright, so I now have my own Twitter account and finally signed back into Facebook after signing up nearly a year ago. Now I just need to make use of it I suppose)
  • Finish this before dinner is ready. (Nope, guess not. Be back later then) ;)

  1. Happy New Year Kirk, I remember this theme. Goodness I remember something. lol
You can join me on twitter, although I don’t post much to that either.
Spent a bit of time in Westcliffe over the holidays so I was a posting fool. I have to say I’ve kinda missed it.

    • K8: I think that’s one of the reasons I’ve stayed away from socializing for so long…the things can catch you up and not let you go. And thanks for the link, Cat always impresses the hell out of me with those types of posts. I must remember to stop by and thank her.

janeywan: Glad you remembered, it gives me hope for myself :D When I get over to my Twitter account I’ll go ahead and look you up…if I can just figure out how. Guess I need to check out Cat’s “How to Twitter” type posts. I’m still lost as to how it works.

Quickroute: Don’t worry about it too much, that’s what New Years resolutions are made for–not doing good at keeping them. ;)
