Autumn colors around town

The colors of Autumn have never been so brilliant as they are this year or at least that I can remember. M’Lady snapped a few photos over the past several days and as I haven’t been able to take any I decided to steal them off her Facebook page and post them here. Nice of me, huh?

The colors are so bright that they messed the focus a bit of the trees in question on some of them but then again, the colors have been messing with my eyes the same way. See for yourself…

And just in case anyone was wondering, none of these pictures have had the colors enhanced. Except for a bit of resizing these are shown the way they came out of a 6 year old digital camera.

I’m sorry that they won’t last much longer as it’s absolutely beautiful this year.

Very nice shots! We’re a little behind you as far as colors, don’t think we’ve peaked yet. When did you change themes? I like this one. Question – does the header image change?

Hi Elaine – I changed it yesterday. I had tried it out on a new psuedo-test/maybe new blog site earlier, tweaked it some and then brought it over here. The header image is one of those composite images that was originally done up in Photoshop. You can change the entire pieced together image by redoing it’s individual pieces but it’s not easy. I only made minor changes like taking the airliner out of the sky and sticking the odd looking fellow up at the top (I had to blend in the patterned gray background around the guy’s head pixel by pixel using a free version of Photofiltre).
