Merry Christmas all and Happy Holidays to the rest.

I can’t help it. I may not subscribe to any one religion and I know that December 25th is not actually Jesus’ birthday but I’m a traditionalist so I’m wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. And for those who may be sensitive about such things I recommend reading this holiday greeting from a very good friend of mine.

Hope you all have a fine day.

  1. Not sensitive about such things, but I hopped on over to see Grandad anyway. What a clever post. In fact brilliant comes closer…

It’s fine to be a traditionalist. In fact the pendulum is swinging back again now and it’s even okay to wish folks a Merry Christmas again now. (It hasn’t been for the last couple of years). Merry Christmas Kirk to both you and Laurie. (And the cats who I hope got tuna today).

    • Denise – Many happy returns and all that. So how did you spend your Christmas? We spent it outside in the cold stacking the green firewood that arrived a month late. Still, I can’t say it wasn’t enjoyable. There’s something about working with firewood that makes it all worth it.

  2. Funny thing Kirk, like you I spent a good portion of Christmas Day outside freeing my driveway of snow after a storm came through on Christmas Eve. My son usually takes care of it, but he was spending the holiday with his girlfriend. It was actually quite exhilarating. And since everyone else was enjoying the day with family for the rest of the day I had the best looking driveway on the street if I do say so myself!
