Four inches of “nothing” falls again

Yup, seems like this Winter has been filled with a lot of “nothing” falling from the sky this Winter season. In all but one episode, this nothing looked suspiciously like snow however, according to various weather reports and radar animations from the likes Weather.com and such, there was “nothing” over us and either nothing, a light snow, or snow showers were falling. But not a major snow event as they call it. Well, I can tell you right now, we’ve shoveled and/or blown (as with a snow blower) about 3 feet of “nothing” so far.

Now I realize that the southern parts of New England and the entire East Coast for that matter has had it a lot rougher than we have up here in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont but it just seems that the rougher it gets “down country” as far as snowstorms are concerned, the more they downgrade any snowstorm that happens in my area. For example,  if Southern New Hampshire, Boston or New York get 3 feet of snow and we only get 18″, it’s now considered snow showers. If things weather-wise get any worse down south I figure our local weather report will be stating that it’s warm and balmy here at home and I should be tuning up the lawn tractor instead of hoping the snow blower doesn’t throw a belt while attempting to move another foot of “nothing” that just happened to fall upon my driveway overnight, a “nothing: that just happens to strongly resemble snow.

Now where is that can of de-icer? I need to free up the augers of our old snow blower from the last time “nothing” fell from the sky.
