A New Series at Successful Blog

The ever elegant Liz Strauss of Successful Blog, after overcoming a few obstacles that lay in her path, has begun a new series called:
May she forgive me for using her logo for this post. The image above is linked to the “Inside Out Thinking” Category at Successful Blog in an effort to keep the link as up to date as possible.
The world of business is changing, the ways and “winning formula’s” and strategies of the 20th century are rapidly becoming obsolete and no longer viable in the first decade of the new century hence the cutbacks, buyouts and eventual fall of the “old standards” of business. Names that have been around for decades are not so slowly disappearing as the times and people leave them behind and look toward a future more different and sometimes even frightening in it’s unpredictability than anyone in the last 50 years has ever known. And the way to do business, any business, will have to change along with it.
As for myself I knew this was coming. Things could never remain the same once the entire globe found out that they could easily talk to each other without restrictions or regulations. My past experience coupled with instincts that started poking at me back in the late 70’s and have been outright screaming at me during the last 2 years or so saying:
Times…they are a’changing! And boy are they changing fast.
Unfortunately, although I’ve been able to see this coming and have greatly anticipated it, the sad truth of the matter is that I simply don’t have a head for business and never have so I was not the one to be speaking of this. If there’s one thing I hate is attempting to write about something that I just can’t wrap my head around and the ways of business is one of them. It doesn’t mean that I can’t see and understand how things of business work, it’s just that I have no natural ability to build on such things. I’ve always been able to work within the system, I just don’t have the knack for sitting out front and making it happen.
How fortunate I am to have met Liz just as this phenomenon is beginning to make itself strongly known. This is where her experience and abilities to bring a point across to a wide audience of rather unique individuals comes into play and this new series of hers is going to bring this phenomenon forward into the light.
This is Liz at her best.
She’s not alone in this effort though. She has help from her various contacts, friends and associates of long standing from both the business and personal sides of things along with a community of blogger’s both intelligent and insightful. And she never fails to give credit where credit is do so the reader always has connections to sources of well written information and opions. So even though this is Liz’s show here it is sure to become a community effort as well. I heartily and strongly recommend that even if you’re the slightest curious, interested or involved with today’s rapidly changing ways of the business world, to check into this new series and perhaps even contribute your own thoughts and ideas.
I know I will be.

Hi Kirk!
It’s going to be fun and work.
Thank you for noticing this may be the hardest and most rewarding series I’ve worked on. I’m determined to let folks know how to bring themselves to their work and to enjoy success. How will I help them do that? I’m going to fill in the holes of what hasn’t been said about how to do what they love, why it’s important, how to structure and define what they do, how to choose customers and how to bring them in.
I really appreciate your support.
Liz

Hey Liz!
Always seems a bit strange answering one of your comments on my blog instead of yours.
Ah…the words “work” and “fun” all in the same sentence. What a lovely sound indeed. Change is long overdue but as you and I both know, nothing comes before it’s time…
…and it’s time!
Isn’t it always that our best work is always some of the hardest work we do? But when we end the day completely exhausted but with a smile on our face (and in our hearts as well?) that we just can’t get rid of… then you know the work was good.
Anytime you need a sounding board or just someone to bang ideas against, I’ll be around. And you just know I’ll be nosing around your place looking for clues.
Very glad you decided to undertake this venture. Can’t think of anyone better!
