Just a short explanation about the advertisements that might appear on this site from time to time.

I have what I call the “Obligatory Google AdSense” skyscraper ad in my sidebar which I always have set to “Text Only” type ads as I sometimes do not appreciate some of the ad images they send my way. Besides, image ads are intrusive in my opinion so I don’t allow them on the site.

I’ve also added Text Link Ads (TLA) recently (see my fancy affiliate banner below for the link to the TLA site).

These guys have been around for about as long as I’ve been blogging, I even remember when they got started. And these ads are well vetted and quality controlled by the folks at TLA. You’ll find these TLA type ads under “Ads n’ AdSense” in the sidebar and “Links of Interest” at the bottom of the Home page.
