Just lop it off.
Two weeks ago I noticed that the left side of my left bug toe was getting rather large. A week ago this swelling was turning dark red and hurting…a lot.
What is it about passing 50 and getting my first ingrown toenail? Is this part and parcel of growing old? Arthritis, runny eyes, failing eyesight and [...]
Those protruding bones
I was lying in bed last night, which is usually what I do at night, trying my best to get to sleep but my face absolutely refused to relax. Has this ever happened to you? Laying there in bed wondering why you feel so uptight when you finally realize that your face is all scrunched [...]

Blogging With a Hole in my Face
Oooowwww-I went to the dentist this morning for the last in a series of VA approved procedures that consisted of removing 3 broken teeth (all molars) and one filling, the last removal and filling I had today. My dentist, who actually is quite good, saved the worse for last–the last meaning that this particular broken [...]

Well what do you know? I actually qualify as one of these Disaboomers so there’s another typification [...]
Bifocals Baby!
I’ve been handed my “old age” hat. The VA is sending me bifocals from my last eye exam. Sheesh!
I’m chewing as fast as my tooth will let me.
Once upon a dinner dreary,
as I tried to chew my food and nearly,
lost the only tooth that I had left.
I sat in front of tasty beef stew,
wondering where my teeth had gone to,
feeling so bereaved and so bereft.
I fear the only choice to con-clude,
now it’s only soup and soft foods,
and anything that I can [...]
Oh Those Bones!
Ooof! Sometimes it just doesn’t pay to get up in the morning even on a beautiful day such as this. How do I know this? It’s the bones! The bones tell all. When every bone in my skeleton is identifying itself by banging on the pain receptors in it’s general vicinity, I know just [...]
