Long Meadow Farms Quilts-A place for doll quilts

Posted by Kirk M on 24 Nov 2007 | Tagged as: Long Meadow Farms Quilts

My wonderful lady of Long Meadow Farms Quilts is a practical sort of person in fact she has enough practically to supply a dozen or so people without shorting herself. She also has a strong head for business, a talent which I never seemed to enjoy. And one of the things that indicate the above [...] Read more »

No more shopkeeping until September

The show is over and my shopkeeping duties are over as well until September when the Island Pond (VT) Fall show starts up when once again I shall assume my shopkeeping duties at my honey’s quilt shop. I don’t have a link to that show since they haven’t announced it yet at the site. Now [...] Read more »

A shop keeper once again

The proprietor of Long Meadow farms Quilts, meaning my wonderful lady, is off once again to the final weekend of an art show to mind her booth and I am on my way again to mind her store. This time I’m ready to be “Walmarted”.

So much I want to do…so little time. It’s been one busy time at work and I’ve dragged myself home pretty much wiped out all week (oh to be 25 once more!). Not complaining at all really, I’m really glad I’m back to full hours again. It just looks like I’ll need some time to [...] Read more »

A Square Cut Carpenter

Posted by Kirk M on 25 Mar 2007 | Tagged as: Life at home, Long Meadow Farms Quilts

I had a friend of mine once refer to himself as the best square-cut carpenter in the business. As long as it was right angles and the occasional 45 degree, he could build a house and he built plenty during his time. He also canes chairs and restores old trunks as well so he may [...] Read more »

New Stained Glass at Long Meadow Farms

Posted by Kirk M on 19 Feb 2007 | Tagged as: Long Meadow Farms Quilts

It’s the middle of February here in Newport as it is everywhere else for that matter and with it comes that wonderful malady called Cabin Fever. However, that doesn’t stop the owner of Long Meadow Farms Quilts from getting ready for Spring by slowly reworking the interior of her shop with the essence of the [...] Read more »
