Summer Arrives!

Happy Summer everyone! This may sound a bit late to some of you who have been enjoying warm temps for awhile now but for those of us living in the more northern latitudes, Summer is always an event that’s greatly anticipated. The fact that it’s raining and in the 60’s for the next few days is completely irrelevant. Keeps the pollen down which has been horrendous this year so far.
So up goes the screen house and out comes the hammock, stuff the dryer sheet in the shirt pocket (keeps the bugs away better than any spray) and we’re ready to go. This year is supposed to bring a tour boat, the Newport Belle, to our town of Newport, VT along with a ticket booth that looks like a lighthouse (21 feet tall) that’s already been built at the end of the park at the waterfront. I’ll have pictures of the lighthouse shaped ticket booth this weekend and I’m hoping to be able to talk the owners into letting me do a photo shoot of the new tour boat and perhaps an interview before she sails for the first time. Nothing guaranteed of course but it’s worth a try.
